Our Etsy Shop has a great range of beautiful hand crafted bags, purses and more. The items for sale are handmade in Kolkata, India by women being trained and supported by the charity Institute of Social Work in Skills workshops, micro credit schemes and women's groups that allow these items to me made and sold and the women making them to work towards better futures for themselves and their families.

All profit goes to those hand making the items.

These beautiful items are being sold with the help of Friends of Kolkata to raise money to sustain and improve projects like these that allow women and children access to education and financial independence.
   
Also available are Ethical Gift Cards. These are paper cards made by Friends of Kolkata which represents the donation you have made to one of our projects. All monies paid for the card go directly to the project as described in your card. There is room inside for a personal message also if you wish to give this as a christmas/birthday/special present as well as specific information about the project you are supporting!
